Pandemi COVID-19 telah mengubah protokol, tata-laksana, dan metode kerja di bidang radiologi dengan penyesuaian yang signifikan. Perubahan ini melingkupi perluasan cakupan penggunaan pesawat sinar-X, yang aspek keselamatannya menjadi bagian dari tanggungjawab fisikawan medik di fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan, menuju cakupan pelayanan yang sebelumnya tidak pernah dilaksanakan seperti penambahan ruangan khusus kasus COVID-19, dedikasi pesawat radiografi mobile di ruangan intensive care unit (ICU)/unit gawat darurat (IGD)/isolasi khusus COVID-19, dan penambahan permintaan CT scan thoraks untuk kelompok pasien yang sebelumnya tidak biasa dilaksanakan seperti pasien hamil. Praktik tambahan ini memerlukan tindakan khusus dari fisikawan medik yang didasarkan pada kajian dan literatur ilmiah demi memperluas cakupan tugasnya yang melingkupi prosedur-prosedur baru untuk menunjang tata laksana pandemi COVID-19. Rekomendasi dari Aliansi Fisikawan Medik Indonesia (AFISMI) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi dan paparan ilmiah kepada fisikawan medik, radiografer, dokter spesialis radiologi, dan klinisi tentang konsep dosis radiasi dan prinsip keselamatan radiasi pasien, staf, dan anggota masyarakat (publik) sebagai bahan pertimbangan dalam melaksanakan tugas yang dinamis. Rekomendasi tambahan khusus untuk fisikawan medik yang bertugas juga termasuk dalam dokumen ini, yang bertujuan untuk mendukung peranan fisikawan medik dalam memastikan bahwa penggunaan radiasi pengion secara umum harus lebih mendatangkan manfaat daripada risiko, bahkan dalam masa pandemi. OUTSTANDING REVIEWERS AWARD 2019 UNTUK DR. CHOIRUL ANAM DARI JURNAL BIOMEDICAL PHYSICS AND ENGINEERING EXPRESS Pada April 2020, Institute of Physics (IOP) mengumumkan sejumlah nama para ilmuan dunia yang mendapatkan penghargaan sebagai reviewer tahun 2019 di berbagai jurnal internasional yang diterbitkan oleh IOP. Pada jurnal Biomedical Physics and Engineering Express (BPEX) terdapat satu orang ilmuan mendapatkan penghargaan sebagai Reviewer of the Year yaitu Dr Qingzhi Wu dari Wuhan University of Technology, China, dan 17 ilmuan mendapatkanpenghargaan sebagai Outstanding Reviewers. Satu diantara 17 ilmuan tersebut adalah Dr. Choirul Anam, dari Universitas Diponegoro. 16 ilmuan lainnya berasal dariberbagai negara, seperti Amerika Serikat, Taiwan, Inggris, Jerman, Meksiko, India, Italia, Finlandia, dan Uni Emirat Arab. Pada tahun 2019, BPEX masuk sebagaijurnal dengan kualifikasi Q2 dengan impact factor 1.10. Paper yang diterbitkan pada BPEX di-review dengan ketat oleh para expert pada bidangnya masing-masing. Kualitas hasil review kemudian dinilai oleh tim ahli dari IOP untuk mendapatkan reviewer awards. Ini merupakan penghargaan kedua bagi Dr. Anam. Pada tahunsebelumnya, dia juga mendapatkan penghargaan sebagai Oustanding Reviewers, namun dari jurnal yang berbeda, yaitu Physics in Medicine and Biology (PMB). Sebagai anggota Fisikawan Medik Indonesia, AFISMI turut berbangga dan terus mendukung para anggota untuk terus berkarya dan berprestasi di kancah internasional. Semoga kedepan, lebih banyak lagi, para anggota AFISMi yang berprestasi pada level internaisonal.

Departemen Fisika, Fakultas Sains dan Matematika, Universitas Diponegoro menyelenggarakan Pertemuan Ilmiah Tahunan (PIT) Fisika Medis dan Biofisika 2018 di Hotel MG Setos Semarang pada 10-12 Agustus 2018, yang di dalamnya sarat muatan akademik dan ilmiah sebagai wadah dan upaya peningkatan semangat dan kualitas riset Fisika Medis dan Biofisika di Tanah Air. Pertemuan Ilmiah ini merupakan hasil kerjasama antara Departemen Fisika FSM Universitas Diponegoro dalam kapasitas sebagai anggota Aliansi Institusi Pendidikan Fisika Medis Indonesia (AIPFMI) dengan Aliansi Fisikawan Medik Indonesia (AFISMI) sebagai organisasi profesi fisikawan medik yang beranggotakan para fisikawan medik profesional di rumah sakit maupun para peneliti di berbagai institusi penelitian dan perguruan tinggi, serta para pemerhati dari lembaga penentu regulasi

Dear colleagues, It is a great pleasure and honour for The Czech Society for Biomedical Engineering and Medical Informatics and for the Czech Association of Medical Physicists to be the host societies and organizers of the 2018 World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering. The Congress will be held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, in the beginning of June 2018. The Congress is represented by the Congress Organizing Committee (COC) and is organized in a close collaboration with the international societies IUPESM, IFMBE and IOMP represented by the Congress Coordinating Committee (CCC). This triennially organized joint meeting of medical physicists, biomedical engineers and adjoining health care professionals is a unique opportunity to liaise with your professional colleagues from all over the world, learn and share your knowledge, and discuss the latest research outcomes and technological advancements as well as new ideas in both medical physics and biomedical engineering field. Besides the purely scientific and technological topics, the 2018 Congress will also focus on other aspects of our professional involvement in health care, such as the education and training, the accreditation and certification, the health technology assessment or the patient safety. Scientific sessions, plenary sessions, poster sessions, keynote lectures, refreshing courses and special sessions will be the forms of the Congress events. These scientific meetings will be supplemented with exhibitions and presentations of the manufacturers, innovators and vendors, both local and global. Welcome Message It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us at the 18th Asia-Oceania Congress of Medical Physics (AOCMP) in conjunction with the 16th South-East Asia Congress of Medical Physics (SEACOMP), which will be held at Connexion Conference & Event Centre (CCEC), Nexus, Bangsar South City, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 11 to 14 November 2018. AOCMP and SEACOMP are both important annual events in medical physics in the region. The objective of the congress is to gather the medical physics and allied health professionals in the region for the sharing of knowledge, expertise, scientific discussions, cultural exchange and medical technologies updates. This is the second time Malaysia is given the honour to host this event after year 2004. The congress is expected to attract more than 400 participants from the professions of medical physics, biomedical engineering, radiology, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, radiation protection, biophysics, radiobiology and the related fields. The theme for this conference is “A Sustainable Future for Medical Physics”. We have put forward a comprehensive scientific programme including orations, talks by eminent speakers, oral paper presentations, poster presentations, lunch symposiums, panel discussions and some pre-congress workshops that cover most of the disciplines in medical physics, i.e. diagnostic and interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, radiotherapy, radiation protection, radiobiology and new emerging techniques.
